Syed Ata-ur-Rahman - Head of Aviation

Syed Ata-ur-Rahman is Head of Aviation at TCS, and looks after all aspects of Aviation which includes Aircraft leasing, Flying operations, Interaction with Star Air, Marketing Domestic and International, the Human Resource Development and Administration associated with the Aviation division, Finances dealing with Aviation, Interaction with Civil Aviation Authority and other Government agencies, all the while interacting with the other concerned departments at TCS. Ata also undertakes special tasks given to him by the Group Chief Operating Officer from time to time. 

Syed Ata-ur-Rahman joined TCS after retiring from the Pakistan Air Force, having attained the rank of Air Vice Marshal, and having been awarded the coveted HI (M), SI (M) and T Bt decorations for meritorious services. His first stint in civvies was as Managing Director of Shaheen Airlines for three years, where he gained valuable insights into the doing of business in the aviation industry covering both passenger and cargo. That job laid for him the foundation for working in the private sector, and he joined TCS in April 2005.  

Ata is a graduate of the Air War College and National Defence College, and holds a Masters Degree from both the Punjab and Karachi Universities. He is an ardent golfer with a hole-in-one to his credit.
